Ingush Ministry of Nature confirms wastewater discharge from aluminium factory
The aluminium factory located near the village of Ali-Yurt in Ingushetia is discharging its wastewater through a sewer without any purification, inspectors from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology (known as "Minprirody") of Ingushetia have confirmed after checking.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 15, residents of the village of Ali-Yurt posted a video message in which they complained that the above factory engaged in making aluminium profiles was polluting the air and discharging its waste water into a ditch from where it goes straight into the Sunzha River.
State inspectors of the Ingush "Minprirody" have conducted an inspection in the rural settlement of Ali-Yurt because of the appeal of local residents about the discharge of waste water by the factory into the river. They have found that the factory is really discharging its wastewater through the sewer collector "to the terrain", while it has no purification facilities.
"State inspectors of the Ingush 'Minprirody' will bring the aluminium profile factory to administrative responsibility," says a statement posted on the Ministry's website.
