Azerbaijan accused Armenia of shelling

Armenian militaries have shelled, from the territory of Armenia and from positions located in the Karabakh conflict zone, the Azerbaijani positions stationed in the Lachin, Fizuli and Khodjaly Districts, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Baku and Yerevan are regularly blaming each other of mutual shelling. Thus, on August 12, Armenia announced a shootout on the border with the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic (NAR).

In the evening on August 12, Armenian militaries shelled the positions of Azerbaijani soldiers located in the Lachin District, the Azerbaijani MoD has reported. Besides, the shelling occurred last night, the MoD has noted. "On August 13, the positions of the Azerbaijani army stationed in the settlements of Yukhari Veiselli in the Fizuli District, Sygnakh in the Khodjaly District and in the vicinity of the city of Shusha (the Armenian name is Shushi) were shelled from small firearms," the MoD has informed.

There are no dead or wounded persons among Azerbaijani militaries, the MoD has added.
