Abdulmumin Gadjiev's colleagues support him with pickets in Makhachkala

Makhachkala picketers demand to stop persecuting Abdulmumin Gadjiev, a journalist of the "Chernovik" (Draft) portal, and the practice of arrests without proofs, as well as release political prisoners.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that pickets in support of Gadjiev are held weekly in Makhachkala. On July 19, the pickets attracted an increased attention of the police, activists have reported.

According to investigators, Abdulmumin Gadjiev, as well as Abubakar Rizvanov, the head of the "Ansar" charity fund, and Kemal Tambiev, have raised 68 million roubles and USD 200,000 for terrorists under the pretext of building mosques and helping Muslims.

Magomed Magomedov, a deputy editor-in-chief of the "Chernovik", went to a picket demanding to release the journalist. The second picket demanding to stop arrests without proofs was held by Magdi Kamalov, the founder of the "Chernovik", Idris Yusupov, a journalist, has reported.

The third solo picket was held by Idris Yusupov himself – he was holding a poster demanding the release of political prisoners.
