The condition of wounded Armenian soldier is treated as extremely grave

One of the three Armenian soldiers wounded in the shootout in the Gegarkunik Region is in grave condition, investigators have informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 23, the Azerbaijani MoD announced that a warrant officer of the Azerbaijani Army perished during the shelling of the Azerbaijani positions located in the Kelbadjar District by the Armenian party. The Armenian MoD reported the wounding of its three servicemen and stated its non-involved in the death of the Azerbaijani warrant officer.

"Yesterday (on July 23), all the three wounded servicemen were delivered to the garrison hospital of the Gegarkunik Region. Doctors assess Arman Atasyan's condition as extremely grave," a source from the press service of the Armenian Investigating Committee (IC) told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to the IC, apart from the conscript, Arman Atasyan, the contract soldiers, Lernik Navoyan and Yurik Oganyan, were wounded.

Akop Avetyan, the head of the enlarged Gegamasar community, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that on July 23, intensive shelling was conducted in the direction of Armenian villages. "They fired from different types of weapons at different Armenian positions in different directions," he has added.
