Azerbaijani MoD reports deployment of military units around Karabakh
In the Agdam District, which has come under the Azerbaijan's control after the last autumn war in Nagorno-Karabakh, a new military unit has been stationed; two other units were deployed in this district in June. In total, at least 25 units of the Azerbaijani Army have been formed in the territories around Karabakh.
The units are accommodated in modular-type premises, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported. The premises are equipped with furniture, modern toilets and kitchen equipment, the MoD has explained. "The building of new military units continues as planned in other liberated territories," the MoD's message says.
On July 8, the Azerbaijani State Frontier Service announced the formation of two new military units on the border with Armenia – in the Gubadli and Lachin Districts.
