Peacemakers report on guarding Nagorno-Karabakh farmers

At the request of residents of the Martakert District, Russian militaries have ensured their safety during the wheat harvest near the contact line, the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Russian peacemakers ensure the delivery of humanitarian supplies to Nagorno-Karabakh residents. Thus, on July 13, Russian militaries handed over about two tons of medicines to the hospital located in the village of Vank, Martakert District.

The recent post on the website of the Russian MoD informs that peacemakers have begun protecting residents of the Martakert District while they were harvesting their grain crops.

For this district, it is believed that wheat harvesting began with a delay, as winter sowing will start in two months; and the fields will have no time to recover. "We were afraid to harvest near the Azerbaijani post, but thanks to peacemakers, we have no fear. Thank you for helping us," the MoD's press release quotes Ruslan Arstn, a local resident.

Locals turn to Russian militaries for help so as not to disrupt the sowing works.

Let us remind you that on July 14 Stepanakert residents told about machine gun fire near Shushi. The shots continued for about an hour and caused concern among Stepanakert townspeople for their safety. They also expressed bewilderment at the absence of response from the authorities and Russian militaries.
