Armenian MoD announces search for soldiers at border with Azerbaijan

Today, Arthur Nalbandyan and Aramais Torozyan have got lost in the fog at the Black Lake area, and they could end up on the Azerbaijani territory, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Armenia reports.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on June 8, the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan reported on the detention of a saboteur, while the Armenian side claimed that the soldier got lost in the fog and accidentally crossed the border. According to the military officials, Arthur Katanyan, who crossed the border in the Lachin District, was returned to the Armenian side. The version that he was a saboteur was not confirmed.

On July 14, while carrying out their official duties in a car, soldier Arthur Nalbandyan and driver Aramais Torozyan stopped answering calls from their colleagues, the Armenian MoD reported.

Earlier, Armenia has asked its allies in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) to intervene in the situation.
