Azerbaijani serviceman wounded in Agdam District

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported on the shelling delivered by Armenian units in the responsibility zone of the Russian peacemakers in Nagorno-Karabakh. A soldier of the Azerbaijani Army was wounded.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 6, Armenia declared that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces had provoked a shootout in the Gegarkunik District, in which an Armenian soldier and two Azerbaijani servicemen were wounded. Baku claimed that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces did not open fire.

"On July 6, at about 5:50 p.m., illegal Armenian armed detachments located in the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacemaking forces are temporarily deployed, opened fire at the units of the Azerbaijani Army deployed in the direction of the Aliagaly village of the Agdam District," says the press release of the Azerbaijani MoD received by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

As a result of the shelling, the senior warrant officer, Sakit Akhliman ogly Dadashov, who was engaged in some road improvement works, was wounded, the press release says.
