Social network users condemn "Alania" footballer for insulting tennis player

Vladimir Khubulov, a midfielder of the “Alania” Football Club (FC) from the city of Vladikavkaz, the capital of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, posted an offensive messages addressed to the Russian tennis player, Darya Kasatkina, after her unsuccessful play at the Wimbledon tournament. The footballer is a public person and must respond for his words, users of the “VKontakte” social network have indicated.

The tennis player has stated that Khubulov wrote abusing messages full of obscene language after her loss in the second round of Wimbledon, the edition named "15th region" has reported.

The 24-year-old Kasatkina is No. 35 in the WTA (Women's Tennis Association); she has five victories at WTA tournaments. In the second round match at the Wimbledon tournament, she lost to Elena Ostapenko from Latvia, the “championat.com” has informed.

The tennis player has noted that if "a person is clearly aimed at success, results, and wants to be a famous footballer, he should understand what he can say and what he can’t." "I would like him to draw the right conclusions and at least apologize," she said.

After Kasatkina's complaints, the “Alania” FC has fined Khubulov.

The footballer has also apologized to Kasatkina.

Social network users found no for Khubulov's act.

"None of his behaviour is accepted in the Caucasus; he is not a man, and not a Caucasian at all," Naala Bogun has stated.
