Video with child and grenade launcher shows inaction of laws in Chechnya

One of Ramzan Kadyrov's close associate has posted a video in which a child from the family of a high-ranking Chechen military shoots from a grenade launcher, shouting "Akhmat is power!" Meanwhile, the Russian President has increased the minimum age for buying weapons up to 21 years.

In the video, which got circulated in social networks, a boy, apparently no older than 10 years, dressed in a uniform similar to the uniform of "Rosgvardia" (Russian National Guard) servicemen, shoots in the direction of the mountains.

The video was posted by Saifulla, a son of Shaa Turlaev, an adviser to the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. The boy was identified as a relative of Khusein Mezhidov, the commander of the special motorized battalion "Yug" (South), the "Kavkaz.Realii" reports.

The publication of the video has attracted increased attention, as it has coincided with the tightening of the Russian legislation in terms of arms trafficking. On June 28, the Russian President signed a law increasing the minimum age of buying weapons from 18 to 21 years.
