Three North-Caucasian republics close vaccination rating

Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria and North Ossetia have taken the last places in the vaccinating rating against coronavirus by regions of Russia published on June 25. In Dagestan, most populous Caucasian region, less than 5% of the population has been vaccinated. In Kabardino-Balkaria, the vaccination level was at 6%, and in North Ossetia - 7,5%.

According to the table presented in the study, Adygea is among the regions where less than 10% of the population was vaccinated with at least one vaccine component. The Volgograd and Rostov Regions, the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, Karachay-Cherkessia, and Ingushetia are among the regions where less than 15% of the population was vaccinated; and Kalmykia and the Astrakhan Region – up to 20% of the population.

In Chechnya, over the last month, the vaccination level went up from 4.3% to 11.7%; the region moved from the 85th place in the rating up to the 63rd one. According to regional authorities, 21% of the pre-planned population has been vaccinated. Meanwhile, on June 23, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, complained to Vladimir Putin that there is a shortage of vaccines against coronavirus in the republic.
