Conflict involving singer Getagazova sparks debate on Caucasian customs

A criminal case is being prepared against Elez Merzhoev, who was arrested after his conflict in a cafe with Aina Getagazova, a singer, on intentional infliction of minor harm to one's health. Instagram users have linked the doctors' conclusion about Getagazova's trauma with corruption and called on to punish hospital managers.

Aina Getagazova is a People's Artist of Chechnya. In December 2019, at a concert in Grozny, she sang the song "Chechen Padishah" – Kadyrov's entourage calls him "Padishah". After that, the Ingush activist Aza Khalukhaeva stated that Getagazova had no right to greet Kadyrov on behalf of the Ingush people. According to Khalukhaeva, for this statement her family was threatened with "execution by Kadyrov people."

Instagram users have condemned the behaviour of Getagazova in the above cafe, where she demanded from a man to stand up in front of her.

"This is indecent behaviour – a woman should behave modestly towards strange men," the user _meh_rima_ believes.

YouTube users have also treated Getagaeva's behaviour as arrogant.
