Resident of Agdam blown up by a mine
The body of Djasarat Khatemkhanov, who went missing on June 7, was found on June 16 in the Agdam District. He died after triggering an anti-personnel mine.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 12, Azerbaijan exchanged 15 Armenian militaries for the minefield maps showing 97,000 anti-tank and anti-personnel mines placed in the Agdam District. According to Nikol Pashinyan, the Acting Prime Minister of Armenia, the maps handed over to Baku are essential, but contain only a small part of information about the minefields.
According to the Azerbaijani General Prosecutor's Office (GPO), Khatemkhanov got blown up by an anti-personnel mine when performing his agricultural work.
According to Baku, after the war in Karabakh in the fall of 2020, 144 people – Azerbaijani militaries and civilians – suffered from mine explosions; 27 of them perished.
