Sources report search of Ingush village Imam

Law enforcers have searched the home of Adam Maloroev, the Imam of the village of Srednie Achaluki, Malgobek District of Ingushetia, who was earlier questioned as a witness in the case of Magas rally, sources have informed today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 30, 2020, law enforcers conducted searches of the homes of the above Imam and of Magomed Khashtyrov, a former acting head of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) of Ingushetia, who lives in the village of Troitskoye, Sunzha District. Both were taken to Vladikavkaz. Maloroev was questioned as a witness in the case of activists' clashes with law enforcers in March 2019, Magomed Bekov, an advocate, said then.

Law enforcers have searched the private house of Imam Adam Maloroev, an informed source has reported today. "To do so, law enforcers arrived in the village of Srednie Achaluki in several armoured vehicles," the source has added.

The today's search of Adam Maloroev's house was also reported by a source of the independent Internet edition "Ingush.info". "The reason for the search is still unknown," the edition has quoted the source as saying.
