Week of May 17-23 passed without victims of armed conflict in Northern Caucasus
During the week from May 17 to May 23, 2021, no information about the dead or injured persons during the ongoing armed conflict in Northern Caucasus was reported. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.
Hideout with weapons in Dagestan
Near the village of Andi in the Botlikh District of Dagestan, law enforcers found a cache with various weapons, ammunition and explosives belonging to a man who is accused of organizing an illegal armed grouping and is on the federal wanted list. According to sources, the hideout contained 12 hand-held grenade launchers, a Kalashnikov machine gun, four improvised explosive devices (IEDs), five RGD-5 grenades, 116 shots for an under-barrel grenade launcher, 200 grams of plastid explosive, 8 electric detonators and more than 13,000 rounds.
