"Dozhd" complains about threats to journalist for reports about Caucasus

The author of an anonymous message has threatened Anna Fimina, a reporter of the "Dozhd" (Rain) TV Channel, with a repetition of Natalia Estemirova's fate, if she continues writing about family relations in Northern Caucasus.

Anna Fimina took part in creating two reports about family relations in the Caucasus. One of them was dedicated to polygamy, the other – to daughters-fathers relationships.

"If you don't stop poking around in the Caucasus, we'll kill you. Estemirova’s fate is an example for you," said the message received by the journalist.

Tikhon Dzyadko, the editor-in-chief of the TV Channel, has asked the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) to initiate a criminal case under the article on obstructing the journalist's professional activities with threats of violence.
