A court pronounced a decision to place under a two-month arrest two relatives of Magomed Kodzoev, a resident of the Kantyshevo village, who was killed in a shootout with law enforcers: explosive devices and weapons were found at home of one of the arrested relatives, sources reported.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on April 28, on the outskirts of Nazran, near the border between North Ossetia and Ingushetia, law enforcers stopped a tinted Toyota Camry car to inspect it. According to them, a driver rendered armed resistance and was killed by return fire. The killed suspect was identified as Magomed Kodzoev, a resident of the Kantyshevo village, who had been earlier put on the wanted list. On May 6, law enforcers conducted searches in Malgobek and detained Dzaurov and Kartoev, two relatives of the killed suspect, a source reported.

The court pronounced a decision to arrest two residents of Ingushetia, detained in early May within the criminal investigation into an attempt on law enforcers’ lives near the border with North Ossetia, an informed source reports today. “Kartoev and Dzaurov were taken into custody for a period of two months. During searches, field investigators found and seized explosive devices, weapons, and cartridges in the Kartoev’s house,” the “Interfax” quotes the source as reporting.

According to another source, the detainee claimed that he had taken the arsenal from Magomed Kodzoev, who was killed in a shootout with law enforcers, the newspaper “Ingushetia” reports today.
