A soldier killed in Armenia
Regular soldier Artyom Melkonyan was killed at a combat position by a shot from his colleague, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Armenia reported. Investigation into a criminal case on the careless handling of firearms is underway.
On May 4, the regular soldier, born in 2002, was fatally wounded while on duty. The shot occurred because a colleague of the victim violated the rules for handling firearms, the international news agency “News Armenia” reports with reference to the press service for the Armenian MoD.
