Peacemakers escort six Azerbaijani military columns in Nagorno-Karabakh

During the last 24 hours, Russian peacemakers accompanied four columns of Azerbaijani military servicemen along the Lachin Corridor, and two columns on the route from Shusha to Kadjar and back, the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Russian peacemakers are regularly ensuring the safe passage of Azerbaijani militaries in Nagorno-Karabakh. Thus, on April 30, they escorted six columns of Azerbaijani army servicemen, among other routes along the Lachin Corridor.

Meanwhile, sappers of the Centre for Humanitarian Demining have continued their work of searching and neutralizing unexploded ordnances. On May 2, they checked five buildings, and cleared up five hectares of the territory and three kilometres of roads. In total, since the start of the demining operation on November 23, 2020, Russian sappers have cleared up 2064 hectares of the territory, more than 632 kilometres of roads, and more than 1700 buildings, where they found 25,603 explosive objects.
