Week of April 12-18 passed without victims of armed conflict in Northern Caucasus
During the week of April 12-18, 2021, during the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus, no information about casualties or wounded persons was reported. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from open sources.
Explosions and terror acts
On April 12, a hostage-taking was undertaken in Vladikavkaz, North Ossetia-Alania. A local resident burst into the store, where there were 11 people, and said that he had an explosive device with him. The attacker demanded to be contacted by the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) in North Ossetia, to whom he would announce the conditions for the release of the hostages. According to one of the shop saleswoman, she contacted the rescuers, after which the attacker received a call. During the conversation, he was distracted and the hostages managed to grasp the bag, which supposedly contained the explosive device, after which the police broke into the building and detained the attacker. It turned out that there was a dummy bomb in the bag.
