Residents of Sunzha District alarmed by law enforcers’ activities

In Ingushetia, law enforcers accumulated their vehicles in the streets of several villages in the Sunzha District, and their activities were accompanied by a shutdown of mobile internet service, eyewitnesses say. The law enforcers did not explain to the local residents what was happening, the villagers complain.

Today, in Sunzha and in the village of Troitskaya in the Sunzha District, the law enforcers have been engaged in special activities, including checking residents’ IDs, eyewitnesses report.

According to eyewitnesses, they noticed armoured vehicles on several streets.

Local resident Israil suggests that a counterterrorist operation (CTO) is taking place in the area.

According to former policeman Sultan, the local law enforcement bodies have not been notified about the conduct of special operations in the Sunzha District.

A shutdown of mobile internet service usually occurs during special operations, says local resident Salamkhan Yevloev.

Let us remind you that in Ingushetia, the recent armed incident took place on February 20. In Magas, a woman and a man were beaten and their car was shelled. The victims were a fortune-teller who arrived from another country, and her husband, a source reported. He suggested that a social movement fighting witchcraft was involved in the incident.

The recent special operation in Ingushetia took place on January 30, when law enforcers in armoured vehicles cordoned off the territory in Nazran.
