Russian military doctors leave Abkhazia
The military doctors of the Russian mobile hospital, who treated coronavirus patients in Sukhumi, have left for the place of their permanent deployment in Budyonnovsk.
On March 2, the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced the completion of the work of the mobile hospital in Abkhazia.
In August 2020, the Abkhaz authorities complained about a shortage of medical personnel amid the outbreak of coronavirus, after which the Russian MoD sent a mobile hospital there in October.
Since October 2020, the hospital has received more than 3700 residents of Abkhazia for the treatment and consultations on COVID-19.
Let us remind you that in January, residents of Abkhazia complained about the absence of antiviral drugs in pharmacies. According to their stories, it was impossible to buy medicines for the treatment of COVID-19; doctors are overloaded, therefore, residents try not to go to medical institutions.
