Karabakh rescuers cancel search for dead bodies

Today, the fog and poor visibility prevented from searching for the bodies of those who perished in Nagorno-Karabakh. Since the start of the search, bodies and remains of 1490 people have been found, the State Emergency Service (SES) of Nagorno-Karabakh has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after the cessation of hostilities in the fall of 2020, the Karabakh SES began searching for the bodies of the dead. On March 6, three bodies were found in the direction of Varanda (Azerbaijani name is Fizuli) and Djrakan (Djebrail).

Given the today's weather, the searching is senseless; if the weather improves, the works will continue on March 9, the "Armenpress" reports.

In general, the Armenia's human losses in hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh in the fall of 2020 did not exceed 4000 people, Armenian authorities believe. By February 18, 2021, a total of 3577 bodies had been identified; 9094 people were wounded the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) of Armenia has reported.
