Kocharyan and Sargsyan support General Headquarters' call for a change of power in Armenia

The General Headquarters of Armenia confirmed the position on the need for Nikol Pashinyan's resignation. Former presidents of Armenia supported the country's General Headquarters.

The Armenian Prime Minister dismissed Onik Gasparyan, the chief of the General Headquarters of the Armenia's Armed Forces, after the military personnel demanded the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan and the government. On February 24, Tigran Khachatryan, the deputy chief of the General Headquarters of the Armenia's Armed Forces, was dismissed after criticizing Nikol Pashinyan: Tigran Khachatryan called the Prime Minister's statement about alleged combat-inefficiency of Russian Iskander missile systems as ridiculous. Experts believe the claim is unfounded. The opposition accused Nikol Pashinyan of undermining the Armenian-Russian relations.

Former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan called on to support the military personnel, who demanded the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan. "The authorities who lost the war and surrendered the land must leave," the "News.Am" quotes Robert Kocharyan as saying.

Former President Serzh Sargsyan also posted on Facebook a call to law enforcers "not to execute illegal orders of the nationwide capitulator."

During the rallies held in the centre of Yerevan by supporters and opponents of the authorities, military aircrafts flew over the city.
