Pashinyan claims inefficiency of "Iskanders" purchased from Russia

The "Iskander" missile complexes purchased from Russia turned out to be incapable of combat, Nikol Pashinyan, the Armenian Prime Minister, has stated, when commenting on Serzh Sargsyan's words about the need to use missile complexes already on the fourth or fifth day of the last autumn aggravation of the Karabakh conflict.

"I think he (Sargsyan, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") should have answers to many questions and not ask questions, the answers to which he knows. Or maybe he will explain why the "Iskander" fired missiles failed to explode or only exploded by 10%," the RBC (RosBusinessConsulting) quotes Mr Pashinyan as saying.

When asked by a journalist, could this be possible, Nikol Pashinyan suggested that the "Iskander" complexes were old. "I don’t know ... Maybe they are the weapons of the 1980s," the "Kommersant" quotes him as stating.

At the same time, the Premier failed to directly state whether the missile complexes were used directly in the days of the autumn conflict escalation.
