Attack with shooting occurs in Ingushetia

A woman and a man were beaten up, and their car was shelled in Magas, the capital of Ingushetia. The victims are a fortune-teller who came from abroad and her husband, a source said, suggesting that members of the so-called social movement to combat witchcraft may be involved in the incident.

"The incident occurred in Micro-District 10 of Magas. Presumably, several people in a VAZ-2114 car drove up to an apartment house in the vicinity of Malsagov Street; after a verbal skirmish one of them began hitting and kicking the woman and the man who rented an apartment in the house. Then, they shelled the car," said the source.

According to his story, the victims are a fortune-teller who came from another country and her husband. "Presumably, members of the so-called public movement to combat witchcraft, recently created by analogy with the 'Antitilika' anti-drug movement, known in the region, may be involved in the incident," the source said.
