Video with an apology of Chechen resident for a garbage dump outrages social media users

The authorities collected the garbage left by a resident of Chechnya in the forest and transported it to his house, while the villager himself publicly apologized for his act. Some Instagram users have criticized officials for the above actions.

On February 16, a video with the apology voiced by Vakha Zurapov, a resident of the Shatoi District, was posted on the Instagram public account "Eldit.net".

The video shows a garbage dump in the forest, which is bulldozed into the back of a truck and then unloaded at the gate of a rural private house.

Along with approving comments, the post on the Instagram public account "Eldit.net" is also accompanied by several critical remarks about the authorities.

"Is there no other way to solve this dirty garbage problem? After all, unsanitary stuff and bacteria are being brought into the village," wrote, in particular, user tim_3404. "Where will the owners of the house, in front of which the garbage is dumped, take all that stuff?" user tim_3404 added in another comment.

User l_x13x_l criticized officials for reprimanding the villager in public. "Could you first visit him and tell him about the problem? [...] And if he hadn't collected the garbage, you could do something like that ... but without recording all that on cameras," user l_x13x_l wrote.
