Over the past 24 hours, more than 460 refugees returned to Nagorno-Karabakh

Russian militaries have escorted a convoy of buses with 466 refugees from Yerevan to Stepanakert. The total number of residents who have returned to Nagorno-Karabakh with the support of peacemakers has exceeded 44,000, the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that by December 24, the total number of refugees who had returned to Nagorno-Karabakh with the assistance of Russian peacemakers made over 43,000. On the same day, the Russian MoD reported on the return of 488 residents to the region for the past 24 hours.

Russian militaries have escorted another convoy with refugees from Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh, the Russian MoD has reported today. "466 refugees were brought by buses from Yerevan to Stepanakert. The column of buses was accompanied by patrols of the Russian peacemaking contingent and the military police," says the press release posted on the MoD's website.

The MoD has added that the total number of returnees to Nagorno-Karabakh has exceeded 44,000.
