Azerbaijan treats resolutions of Dutch Parliament on Karabakh as biased

The Parliament of the Netherlands has openly demonstrated its anti-Azerbaijani and anti-Turkic position and is inciting enmity by its 11 resolutions on Nagorno-Karabakh, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 17, the Dutch Parliament adopted a resolution on personal sanctions against Azerbaijani President, Ilham Aliev, and his wife, Mekhriban Alieva, who is Vice President of the country, for their war crimes committed against Nagorno-Karabakh. The Dutch parliament also called for the EU's announcement of an embargo on arms sales to Turkey, which openly supported Azerbaijan during the autumn escalation of the conflict. On December 9, the Dutch MPs unanimously adopted a resolution on urgently ensuring the security of the population of Nagorno-Karabakh and defining the status of the unrecognized republic.

In total, since October 7, the Dutch Parliament has adopted 11 resolutions on the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, and all of them "are one-sided, unjustified and openly demonstrating an anti-Azerbaijani and anti-Turkic position," the official Baku has stated.

"We resolutely reject these resolutions of the Dutch Parliament, call on the country's House of Representatives to refrain from a one-sided position and rely on the norms and principles of the international law in their decisions," the "Azertadj" News Agency has quoted the statement of the Azerbaijani MFA.
