Armenian reservists disappear in Gadrut District

Six Armenian reservists have suffered during the shootout near the villages of Khtsaberd and Khin Takher; ten others have been presumably taken prisoners of war (POWs), Stepanakert has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 11, the first ceasefire violation was recorded. According to the Nagorno-Karabakh's Ministry of Defence (MoD), on December 11 and 12, Azerbaijani militaries attacked two Armenian villages in the Gadrut District – Khtsaberd (the Azerbaijani name is Chailakkala) and Khin Takher (In Takhlar). Three Nagorno-Karabakh militaries were wounded; and residents left their villages.

On November 13, near the garrison of Russian peacemakers in Stepanakert, a rally was held by local residents who demanded to resolve the issue of the Azerbaijani Army's offensive on the villages of Khin Takher and Khtsaberd in the Gadrut District.

Now, three days after the incident in the vicinity of the communities of Khin Takher and Khtsaberd, there is no information about 10 Armenian reservists enlisted in the Defence Army of Nagorno-Karabakh. Six others were wounded, Aik Khanumyan, a former Nagorno-Karabakh MP, has reported.
