Internet users support fight against bullying Dagestani girls in social networks

Blogger Dibir Dibirov has announced struggle fight against the publics, which had posted photos of women from Dagestan accompanied by offensive comments. Bloggers have to do policemen's work, social network users have noted.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in Chechnya and Dagestan, there are online communities of activists, who, acting as morality guardians, are engaged in persecuting women. In Dagestan, girls "are threatened to be killed for innocent photos in bras," Svetlana Anokhina, a journalist, has noted.

Dibir Dibirov has posted a video on the Instagram with information about the war declared to the Dagestani publics, which post photos and videos of girls without their consent, and then blackmail them, extorting money for the removal of the media content. According to the blogger, he sees injustice towards women, and will provide his personal help to the girls who do not trust the police.

Dibirov's statements and information about the beating of the administrator of one of such publics in Makhachkala have triggered a violent reaction in social networks.

"It happens because of the police's inaction. In a civilized country, policemen should detain such scoundrels within a month," Arsen Kazibekov believes.

"For three times I was subjected to blackmailing by some nasty men in Dagestan ... It is a pity for the girls that they could not get out of this situation," the user Lyudmila Abakarova has written.
