In August 2020, ten people fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

At least ten people suffered in the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus in August 2020 – eight people perished and two others were wounded. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from open sources.

In August, in Ingushetia, during counterterrorist operations (CTOs), eight alleged members of the armed underground were killed, and two law enforcers were wounded.

In Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, North Ossetia-Alania, Stavropol Territory and Chechnya, no victims of the armed conflict were recorded.

The presented statistics cannot reflect the victim count with 100% accuracy. Not all the data is included in the news bulletins. It is not always possible to check whether the statements of law enforcement bodies correspond to reality; and new data on the events of the reporting period become known sometimes after the publication of statistics by the "Caucasian Knot".
