Azerbaijan announces capture of Gubadly

The Azerbaijani Army has occupied the city of Gubadly, President Ilham Aliev has announced. This statement was preceded by declarations of an armistice.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 25, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) informed about enemy's attacks in the Gubadly direction. In the evening on October 25, it became known that the parties had agreed on another armistice.

"Today, the Azerbaijani Army has liberated from occupation a number of villages in the Zangilan, Djebrail and Gubadly Districts and the city of Gubadly (the Armenian name is Kubatly, – note of the "Caucasian Knot")," Ilham Aliev wrote in his Twitter micro-blog in the evening on October 25 (translated by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent).

The names of the occupied villages were not specified.

Thus, the number of dwelling settlements, the restoration of control over which Azerbaijan has announced since September 27, has reached 133.
