As a result of the shelling of the city cemetery of Terter from heavy artillery from the enemy at about 1:00 p.m. local time, three local residents were killed. Five people were injured of varying severity. The injured were hospitalized, the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan reports today.

Artillery strikes fell on a local cemetery when a funeral ceremony was being held there, reported Vasily Polonsky, a correspondent of the "Dozhd" (Rain) TV Channel, who witnessed the shelling attack. The strike was launched from a "Grad" multiple rocket launcher, Vasily Polonsky suggested in his comment to the newspaper "Novaya Gazeta".

Khikmet Gadjiev, an aide to the President of Azerbaijan, accused the Armenian side of targeted attacks on civilians. "Does a city cemetery have military significance? No, absolutely. The Armenia's goal is simply to cause casualties among the civilian population," Khikmet Gadjiev wrote on Twitter.
