In Dagestan, suspects killed in a shootout with law enforcers identified

Two men killed by law enforcers in the Kizilyurt District were identified as residents of Khasavyurt, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, in a shootout which occurred near the village of Kulzeb in the Kizilyurt District, law enforcers killed a driver and a passenger of a car. According to the law enforcers, while the policemen were trying to check the documents of the suspects, they opened fire. No policemen were injured.

Both killed suspects were residents of Khasavyurt, a source from the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan reported. "The men were identified as residents of the city of Khasavyurt, born in 1994. Field investigators work to reveal the suspects' possible involvement in other crimes," the TASS quotes the source as saying.

The above information was confirmed by an officer of the press service for the Dagestani MIA. "The criminals who had opened fire at the policemen and were killed by the return fire are identified as residents of Khasavyurt. They were 25 and 26 years old," reported the Dagestani MIA's press officer as quoted by the "Interfax".

The killed suspects were identified as Azamat Alkhamatov and Timurlan Biimurzaev, an informed source reported. Today, in its report about the killed suspects, the RIA "Derbent" has mentioned the same names without disclosing a source of the information.
