Villages of four frontline Azerbaijani districts shelled

Nine persons from the Goranboy, Terter, Fizuli and Agdam Districts, which were subjected to intensive shelling, have been hospitalized with wounds, the Azerbaijani General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) has informed. Villages in the above frontline districts are shelled every day; to hide from shells; villagers have made dugouts, locals have explained.

The night on October 9 was one of the calmest after the outbreak of hostilities, Eldaniz Veliev, a resident of the city of Terter, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. However, in the morning, the shelling began and continued throughout the day.

Samit Balaev, a resident of the village of Yukhary Garadagly, said that his village had undergone massive shelling. "About 150 shells hit the territory of the village, but no one was wounded. There are few people in the village now: we have evacuated women, children and the elderly," he has explained.

Mirza Mirzoev, a resident of the village of Tezekend, Agdam District, said that last nights were relatively calm, but the shelling resumes at dawn.
