By their formal worship, Chechen authorities emasculate Akhmat Kadyrov's image

At the suggestion of Ramzan Kadyrov's entourage, the motto "Akhmat is Power" at the entrance to Grozny, became a republic's brand, but there is no semantic and value content in it, analysts believe.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 5, a new entrance arch was opened in Grozny. Instagram users have treated the inscription "Akhmat is Power" on the arch as ridiculous, claiming that it serves a "primitive cult of personality", and by the motto "Akhmat is Power", the Chechen leadership is replacing the Muslim "Allahu Akbar".

By promoting Akhmat Kadyrov's personality, Chechen authorities do not emphasize the achievements of the president of the republic, who was killed more than 15 years ago, and his principles, but only form a popular brand "Akhmat is Power", says Oleg Orlov, a board member of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial".

Chechen authorities are making use of Akhmat Kadyrov's person for their self-promotion apart from his deeds, the blogger, Tumso Abdurakhmanov, has noted, treating the installation of the inscription "Akhmat is Power" on the arch at the entrance to Grozny as a manifestation of Ramzan Kadyrov's infantilism.

Chechen authorities have managed to make the motto "Akhmat is Power" an actual republic's brand, said Andrei Kozlov, Director of the "Kozlov & Arakelyan PR-Group" Promotion Agency.

Alexander Likhtman, a PR expert, has stated that the inscription "Akhmat is Power" at the entrance to Grozny looks strange. Chechen authorities are trying to make Akhmat Kadyrov's cult more attractive, but this is done in an inappropriate way. Probably, some of these initiatives come not from Ramzan Kadyrov himself, but from his retinue, seeking to curry favour, he believes.
