Father of publicly humiliated Chechen Salman Tepsurkaev asks to forget about his son

In his new video message, Shirvani Tepsurkaev has called to "close the topic" with his son, stating that he was satisfied with the responses of Chechen authorities and had no complaints against them. However, the authors of the 1Adat Telegram Channel are sure that Salman's father was forced to record the new appeal because information appeared that two kidnappers of his son had been recognized.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Salman Tepsurkaev's father stated that he had disowned his son, who had left Chechnya, because of his bad behaviour.

In Chechnya, a video, in which a naked man, who introduced himself as Salman Tepsurkaev, sat on a bottle, claiming that this was his punishment for collaboration with the 1Adat Telegram Channel, which criticizes Chechen authorities, provoked great resonance.

The father was forced to record the above new video after two of Salman's kidnappers were identified out of fear that all the details of the crime would be revealed, the 1Adat Telegram Channel reports.

The words of Shirvani Tepsurkaev, who had treated the humiliation of his son as his family matter, sparked protests among Instagram users, who said that the resonant story had affected the image of all Chechens.

Let us remind you that Russian authorities stated that law enforcers were not involved in Salman's kidnapping; however, activists of the "Committee against Torture" (CaT) and the 1Adat Movement treat this statement as unconvincing, stating that they had identified the law enforcers involved in kidnapping Salman Tepsurkaev.
