Karabakh reports about five Azerbaijani aircrafts and helicopters shot down over a day

Today, the air defence system of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defence Army shot down three aircrafts, two helicopters, and six unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the southern and south-eastern directions of the front line, Artsrun Ovannisyan, the spokesperson for the operational headquarters under the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Armenia, has written on his Facebook page. According to him, one of the helicopters fell on the territory controlled by the Defence Army, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that combat actions have been going on in the Karabakh conflict zone since September 27. The martial law is in force in Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan.

One of the Azerbaijani helicopters shot down today fell on the territory of Iran, the Ministry of Defence of Nagorno-Karabakh reported. "The combat actions are underway very close to the border of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Unfortunately, such cases are inevitable," reported the Nagorno-Karabakh Ministry of Defence on its official website as translated from the Armenian language by the "Caucasian Knot".

The Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan did not confirm the above information, but only reacted directly to the report about the loss of the helicopter on the border with Iran. "The information about the downed military helicopter and its alleged fall on the territory of Iran is another lie of the Armenian side," announced Vagif Dargyakhly, the chief of the press service for the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence, as quoted by the "Interfax".
