Number of detainees in Dijon unrest case reaches 11

Two more members of the Chechen Diaspora were arrested in a case on unrest in French Dijon, and the total number of the detainees in the case reached 11, the police reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 14, in Dijon, a conflict broke out between members of the Chechen Diaspora and local residents of Arab origin. The conflict was provoked by the fact that on June 10, drug dealers beat a 16-year-old Chechen native. According to the Prosecutor's Office, 20 people were injured in clashes.

In France, two more members of the Chechen Diaspora are detained in the case on the unrest in Dijon, and in total, 11 people are brought to criminal responsibility in the case, the "France Info" reports today with reference to the Dijon Prosecutor's Office.

The detainees are a 30-year-old resident of Nice and a 30-year-old resident of the commune of Dole. The men are taken in custody on the charge of conspiracy to prepare crimes, participation in a grouping to organize violence, and use of aggravated violence.

The arrested men face up to 10 years of imprisonment, the "France Info" reports as translated from French by the "Caucasian Knot".
