Kadyrov's critic Aslamkhanov detained in Austria

The Austrian police detained blogger Murad Aslamkhanov and his brother Mukharbek on the charge of illegal possession of firearms. Earlier, the blogger had recorded a threatening video appeal to the leader of Chechnya.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Murad Aslamkhanov, a critic of the Chechen authorities, began running his YouTube channel after an incident with humiliation of Salman Tepsurkaev which provoked a public outcry. On September 12, Murad Aslamkhanov claimed that his relatives were being detained in Chechnya. In his video appeal to Ramzan Kadyrov, the blogger stood up for his relatives and threatened to kill relatives of the Chechen leader's associates living in Europe.

Chechen blogger Murad Aslamkhanov was detained in Austria together with his 29-year-old brother Mukharbek. The both brothers are accused of illegal possession of firearms. Moreover, 39-year-old Murad is also charged with threatening to kill relatives of Ramzan Kadyrov and other officials from the authorities of Chechnya.

The brothers were detained in the afternoon on September 16, Chechen blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov reported on his Telegram channel.
