Azerbaijan claims military serviceman wounded in conflict zone

In the evening on September 14, in the Tovuz District, a serviceman, Renat Eldar-oglu Aliev, was wounded as a result of ceasefire violation, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning on September 15, the Azerbaijani MoD claimed 30 shelling attacks committed by Armenia in the conflict zone.

The statement of the Azerbaijani MoD says that the above serviceman was wounded as a result of a ceasefire violation by Armenia in the evening on September 14 near the village of Gadjally, Tovuz District.

"In the evening on September 14 <...> as a result of a ceasefire violation by the opponent, the ensign, Aliev Renat Eldar-oglu, was wounded. He was immediately provided with medical help; now, nothing threatens his life," the MoD wrote in its website.

Let us remind you that escalation of the conflict on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan took place on July 12. According to the official information, in the period from July 12 to July 27, six soldiers from the Armenian side were killed and other 38 people were injured, including 35 soldiers, two policemen, and one civilian. The authorities of Azerbaijan reported about 13 killed and four wounded soldiers.
