Tsotne Gamsakhurdiya recognises those involved in the attempt on him
Tsotne Gamsakhurdiya, a son of the first president of Georgia, who is in a clinic in Berlin, has shown by gestures to photographs of the people who had attacked him, said the advocate. After his coma, Tsotne can only communicate with gestures, his wife has explained.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that five suspects were detained within the case of the attack on Tsotne Gamsakhurdiya in December 2019. The next day, two of them were accused of an attempted murder; and three others were accused of not reporting about the crime.
Tsotne Gamsakhurdiya was seriously wounded at night on December 19, 2019, in central Tbilisi, near his home. He was hospitalized on the same day.
On September 3, at a press conference in the "Mtavari" Media Centre, where the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was present, Amiran Giguashvili, an advocate of the Gamsakhurdiya family, stated that Tsotne identified in the photo the people who had attempted to kill him. "Tsotne Gamsakhurdiya is physically unable to communicate directly, but he confirmed with gestures that these people were involved in committing a crime against him," said the advocate.
