CTO with three casualties held in Ingush Troitskoye village

Three supporters of the "Islamic State" (IS or ISIL), a terrorist organization banned in Russia by the court, were killed, and two security officials were wounded in a counterterrorist operation (CTO) conducted in the village of Troitskoye, Sunzha District of Ingushetia. This was announced by the Russian National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC).

In the morning on August 23, a CTO was announced in Troitskoye, which has become the fifth CTO in Ingushetia since the start of 2020.

According to the NAC, the militants who had settled in the house were offered to lay down their arms, but in response they opened fire on law enforcers.

The CTO in Troitskoye was preceded by three CTOs in the district and another one in Nazran.
