NKR residents complain about rights violations during quarantine

The Ombudsperson of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) is collecting complaints of human rights violations during the quarantine introduced due to coronavirus. The main complaints concern restrictions on travel, self-isolation conditions and delayed test results, Artak Beglaryan, the Ombudsperson, has stated.

By August 23, the number of coronavirus infections in the NKR reached 270; two persons died.

Beglaryan's Facebook page reads that "the study will include all the basic rights: health care, personal freedom, free travel, education, social security, employment and others."

"The data will be collected anonymously ... Also, the work will be done to prevent similar human rights violations in the future," Mr Beglaryan told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
