Most of old residents leave Kullar camp for homeland

262 citizens of Azerbaijan left a tent camp in Dagestan, and about 500 more people are waiting for their turn. Afig Allakhverdiev, a member of the Azerbaijanis' association, revealed a technique due to which newcomers crossed the border bypassing the people who stayed at the camp much longer.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that by August 4, about 250 people still stayed at the tent camp in Dagestan, but by August 10, the number of people at camps had grown up to 700.

Over the past 24 hours alone, about 250 people arrived at the camp, reported Afig Allakhverdiev, the deputy chairman of the regional National Cultural Autonomy of Azerbaijanis in the Moscow Region. According to him, there is still not enough space in the camp for everyone.

Afig Allakhverdiev notes that only about five old residents still stay at the camp.

The residents of the Kullar camp complained that newcomers were leaving for homeland in several days already, while the old residents of the camp had to wait for such opportunity for a long time.

According to Afig Allakhverdiev, bus drivers earned money by sending newcomers home first.

Direct flights from Russia to Baku are very rare, and tickets are sold out within several minutes, so many people have to fly to Azerbaijan with several transfers, Afig Allakhverdiev notes.
