Social network users criticize Kadyrov for not wearing mask while meeting bloggers

The "Grozny" TV Channel released a report about Ramzan Kadyrov meeting bloggers. At a meeting with a group of bloggers, Ramzan Kadyrov wore no mask, like his guests. The leader of Chechnya ignores the requirement compulsory for residents of the republic, Instagram users note.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in late July, the authorities of Chechnya tightened the measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection. Local residents were ordered to strictly comply with the mask regime. Ramzan Kadyrov expressed his indignation about the fact that while walking around Grozny, he saw no people wearing masks. However, the leader of Chechnya himself and his associates repeatedly provoked criticism by wearing no masks when participating in mass events.

The video posted on Instagram shows a dining table at which Ramzan Kadyrov, blogger Erik Kituashvili, and at least a dozen other people are talking to each other.

User imanmadaeva23 notes that Ramzan Kadyrov's guests do not comply with the anti-epidemiological requirements.

According to lawyers, the appearance of the Chechen leader and his subordinates without masks required for wearing in public places during the pandemic can be considered as a violation for which a fine is provided.

Ramzan Kadyrov and his associates are in a special position in the republic, explains Oleg Orlov, a member of the council of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial". "Everyone should understand that what is allowed to the padishah is not allowed to his inferiors," Oleg Orlov noted.
