On July 27-August 2, one person fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

During the week from July 27 to August 2, 2020, one person died during the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus; no information about the wounded ones was reported. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

The casualty was an Ingush law enforcer.

Attacks on law enforcers

On July 28 at about 6:30 p.m. Moscow time, 300 meters from the Kavkaz Highway, in the outskirt of the village of Yandare, Nazran District of Ingushetia, unknown persons shelled Uvais Aliev, a 32-year-old Senior Lieutenant of the "Rosgvardia" (Russian National Guard). He died on the spot from received wounds. According to eyewitnesses, three men in camouflage clothes first talked to the officer; and when they saw his pistol, they opened fire. The attackers stole his service pistol and fled the scene. Law enforcers are now considering the version of involvement of militants from the grouping of Aslan Byutukaev in the killing.

Detentions

On July 30, in Kizilyurt, law enforcers detained Murad Musaev, a resident of Makhachkala. At 6:00 a.m. Moscow time, more than 20 law enforcers broke into the house, where his mother Aishat Musaeva lives and where Murad had lived earlier. They presented a search warrant stating that Murad Musaev "had helped to some girl's departure to Syria." At first, they did not let the mother into the yard. After a while, she was allowed to go out; then they brought Murad and conducted a search – first, of the Aishat's house; then, of the former Murad's one, where they found a pistol. After the search, law enforcers took Murad Musaev away. According to his mother, Murad hadn't known the girl mentioned in the warrant, and also had no pistol – it was planted by law enforcers, when they did not let her into Murad's house.

On July 31, law enforcers detained Ruslan Dadashev, a resident of Izberbash. During the detention, a pistol and explosives were seized from him, but his relatives believe that the weapons had been planted on him. On the following day, the advocate, Usman Shamkhalov, invited by Ruslan's relatives, met him at the police station. He said that after Dadashev was detained, an administrative protocol was drawn up against him for disobeying law enforcers' lawful demands; and the court sentenced him to an administrative arrest. According to the advocate, his client was detained with the use of physical force; and then moral pressure was put on Dadashev.
