On June 15-21, no victims were recorded in armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

During the week of June 15-21, 2020, in the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus, no casualties or victims were recorded. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

Detentions

On June 17, during a joint operation of the FSB, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) detained two natives of the Stavropol Territory – Surtlanbek Adjinyazov, born in 1972, and Ruslanbek Arslanov, born in 1969, on charges of taking part in the August 1999 raid of Basaev and Khattab to Dagestan. They will be charged in the near future under Article 317 of the Criminal Code (attempt on a law enforcer's life).

On June 19, law enforcers detained three residents of Karachay-Cherkessia at an attempt to sell a TT pistol and more than 30 rounds of ammunition thereto. During the searches, a large amount of various firearms, their parts, over 3200 rounds of various calibres, knife blanks, as well as various devices and tools for manufacturing and converting weapons into combat ones, were found. In a forest not far from the residence of one of the detainees, he showed a hideout with a revolver, 600 rounds of ammunition and five firearm magazines hidden there.

  • Two natives of Northern Caucasus injured in shootout near “Wildberries” office in Moscow

    A shootout took place near an office of the “Wildberries” Company in the centre of Moscow. As a result, at least one person has been killed and several others have been wounded, sources report.   • In Volgograd, court recognizes absence of HIV therapy in prison hospital
