Kadyrov supports Dijon pogromists
The Chechen natives who took part in clashes with the Maghreb community in the French city of Dijon did everything right, the Chechen leader, Ramzan Kadyrov, has stated.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 14, at least 10 people suffered in clashes in Dijon; and on June 16, members of the Maghreb and Chechen communities agreed on a ceasefire. Policemen detained six members of the Chechen community.
On Friday (June 19), the French police continued their operation in Dijon with the aim "to search for weapons, ammunition and drugs," the "Le Figaro" writes.
Kadyrov has justified the actions of Chechen natives-participants in the conflict, emphasizing that he did not treat it as an interethnic conflict.
"Drug dealers from Dijon had brutally cracked down on a 16-year-old Chechen boy, who stood up for his friend. As a result, the boy received grave wounds. The justice failed to react properly to these atrocities, his fellow countrymen came to the rescue ... I believe the Chechens actions to be correct," Ramzan Kadyrov wrote in his Telegram channel.
Dijon became the third city in France marked for the "struggle of Chechens against drug trafficking." In March, a similar conflict of natives from Chechnya with drug dealers occurred in Toulouse, and in April – in Nice, where two Chechens were injured in clashes with immigrants from North Africa.
